A trend towards pet aesthetics has gone too far, some would say. A vet in Victoria performs up to 60 procedures a year to fix aesthetic flaws found on pet fish. Pictured here, Lucky the goldfish has a tube in place that irrigates his gills during the 35-minute procedure that costs roughly $150.
It is unlikely that Lucky is self conscious about his scales, but if he is, why not spring for the total makeover and give him some belly liposuction, fin implants, and botox around his eyes? One must look young to get things done in the fishbowl.
