Regis Philbin under the knife

When older men have cosmetic surgery that is not subtle, the result can be strange.  Regis appears to have had upper blepharoplasty (there is remarkably no extra upper eyelid skin for a man of his age), and perhaps a facelift.

When men get pulled too tight, they start to look the same. Regis ended up with the same look as Michael Douglas. Thankfully, Regis did not appear in Basic Instinct II.

Regis' face work was just overdone. And instead of taking six weeks off to give the swelling time to resolve - he went back to work as soon as his make-up people could cover the worst of the purple/green bruising. He has nearly erased all character from his face for his trouble. The Hoff on the other hand turned out to look little younger version of himself. The face should almost be in the speedos, but the body couldn't pull that off now. What is he? 59 or 64 or somewhere near there? Michael Douglass looks like he's been hit in the face (in front of his ears) with a large dull axe! The scars are visible on HDTV EASILY! Poor guy! The Burt Reynolds Face Jobs have one thing in common - his impatience. He can't seem to give any of them time to 'cure'. He's having a revision before the swelling on the previous one has fully abated. Idiot docs can't be worth a darn or they would touch him in that critical healing period. But shove enough cash under the noses of many PS's and they'll do nearly anything regardless of the patients final appearance is almost frightening as in Halloween Masque frightening! Less is more BURT. Lonny may lift herself once a year. A guy cannot do so without looking like he's demented or worse! Right now BR's face almost looks like it's painted on with shadowing makeup, eyebrow pencils and an air brush! Not a realistic nor masculine look, Burt. IT's time to stop trying to look like you did at 40 and concentrate on being a hot older man. Look at Sean Connery until the last movie anyway. Til then he was a gracefully aging stud!

Clint Eastwood belongs sadly, in a category of his own. He went from being one of the most masculine and macho men on TV to being little more than feminized version of himself. A version that skipped manly all together and has regressed to young pubescent teen! He could almost could pull it off he weren't pushing 75 or so! But the good news is the next film casting calls for a young male prostitute - he's a dead type cast for the part! Well, except for the "young" Part...

Knowing when to quit can be the smartest thing that anyone can ever learn! Eastwood could have done a "little touch-up work" here and there thru the years, but no. He waited and did a full face, nose revision (a bad one) brow, neck, mid face, and upper chest. He then had a deep laser or chemical peel that's removed every bit of line or character from his 70 plus year old face! This is truly tragic! He looks like he ought to be working nights walking Santa Monica Blvd! Gawd! How could any doc do this to him? What the heck is the matter with these idiots? Don't they know what makes a man look good? Do they get so stuck in doing women they forget there are vast differences between male beauty and female beauty and then just do the same procedure over and over regardless of the patients' gender or age? That's what happened to Dirty Harry" in my opinion. He should have stopped there! At least for a few years before doing anything else.

I am gullible I thought Regis just aged very well. If he had it done no doubt Joy had it done also. I am 6 days younger than Regis and don't need work yet.
He looks very good and I enjoy his show everyday.
