The 20 ugliest celebrities, according to the "expert" judges at showbiz can be found here.  You can already guess who's on the list, but there's a few interesting choices.

Paris Hilton's crazy, lazy eye

It's true, when Paris has a picture taken, especially with a flash, the left upper eyelid seems to be in a lower position. A droopy lid (sometimes called lazy eye) is termed eyelid ptosis or blepharoptosis. It can be congenital, related to an injury, or from old age.  In Paris' case, it would most likely be congenital- present from birth. It is caused by a weakness of the muscle that lifts the lid.
Rumors have it that Paris is seeking surgical repair of her droopy lid. This has been reported at Tony Youn's site and IDontLikeYouInThatWay among others.
A congenital ptosis can be difficult to correct, often requiring a sling that suspends the eyelid from the eyebrow, and leaving some surgical scars. There are other techniques that tighten the muscles inside the lid, but this works  only for certain types of ptosis.
We think she should consider elevating other things, such as her social standards and moral codes before addressing the eyelid.

Droopy dog considers surgery

Droopy dog, pictured here, has reportedly considered facelift surgery to improve his longstanding jowl problem. He is quoted as saying 'I don't expect to look 4-years-old again (20 in dog years), but it would be nice to catch the ladies eye again'. In the photo here, he also demonstrates how he would like to have a more upturned nose, like Lindsay Lohan. We wish him the best of luck, and expect he will have an excellent result in light of his realistic expectations.

Mister Magoo needs some work

Mister Magoo has the classic bulbous nose of a person with acne rosacea, an adult skin disease. It gets worse with alcohol intake (i.e. W.C. Fields). He could use rhinoplasty to improve his tip definition. He could also use some neck liposuction and lower blepharoplasty. But look at his high brow position. I suspect he had a brow elevation. Magoo, you scoundrel, you are as young as you feel in your heart.

Hillary Clinton's skin heads south

We couldn't critique Bill without including Hillary. Yes, it's true that we all get older and things start to sag. But when you're in the public eye, there is pressure to tack it back up.

Hillary's aging changes appear to have accelerated in recent years. If she were to run for a higher office (yikes), and she decided to do something appearance-wise, there is one procedure that would dramatically freshen her look- a facelift. A facelift would address her descended cheeks, her jowls, her jawline, and her neck skin. She has festoons, the second set of bags below her eyes- and a blepharoplasty and brow elevation would also help some, so she doesn't look so scowly.

Bill Clinton's extra baggage

Regardless of your feelings about Bill Clinton's politics, he is a prominent, high-profile public figure, and an influential one at that. So why does he carry around those 'extra bags' under his eyes? Does he consider them a trademark?

It does not appear that he has prolapsed orbital fat, he just has extra skin (and possibly muscle) in the upper and lower eyelids. He would appear much less tired and more youthful if he had a 4-lid blepharoplasty. This procedure removes excess skin and/or repositions or removes bulging fat. Laser resurfacing, chemical peeling, or radiofrequency can help tighten some of the skin as well, but Bill would need surgery.

It may be that his cardiac history makes him a poor candidate for elective, cosmetic surgery, especially if he is on a blood thinner and is not able to discontinue it for several days. Until then, he will continue to look like he's in serious need of a supersized pot of starbucks.
