There is a trend towards non-invasive procedures in the cosmetic world. Cool lipo isn't really non-invasive, but potentially less traumatic than conventional liposuction. A 1320 nm laser is used under the skin, much like a liposuction canula to break up fat with heating from the laser. Then, conventional liposuction is performed, but possibly in a gentler fashion, because the fat is already melted. There also may be an improved tightening effect over regular liposuction. But the clinical data is limited at this point. Still, the word laser always sounds cool.
